FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS. We will be offering free sports physical for any students in grades 3-11 on March 21, 2023. Forms will be sent home on February 24th. Forms must be filled out and sent back to school no later than March 17th. If we do not have the form filled out and turned in by March 17th your student will not get a physical here at school. All students who will be playing a sport for the 2023-2024 school year will need to have a current physical on file. We encourage you all to take advantage of the FREE physicals. If you have any questions please call the High School of Elementary Offices.


Senior night for the girls basketball team will take place tomorrow before the girls game and prior to warmups (approximately 4:45). The game time is 5pm followed by JV and Varsity boys.

Preschool has been working on sorting Valentine's Conversation Hearts, making bar graphs, and tallies to show how many.








Kindergarten had a blast celebrating the 100th day of school!





We will be honoring our senior basketball girls on Thursday, Feb 16th vs Kingston. We will honor the senior boys on Friday, Feb 17th vs Bismarck. Come out and cheer them on! 🔴⚫️🐾🏀

Correction to an earlier post: The girls game tonight will start at 5:15pm.

The 1/2 girls game scheduled for tonight vs St. Paul will start at 5:30pm. There will be no charge tonight to get in.

LES 5th graders enjoyed their second D.A.R.E. class with Officer J. McCarty! They are learning great vocabulary for making good decisions in life. Thank you Officer McCarty!




Congratulations to Cason Chilton, Jarel Jackson, and Carter St. Gemme. They were selected to compete in the 1st annual Southeast Missouri Premier JH All Star Classic. The games will be at Cape Central JH in Cape Girardeau on Saturday, February 11th. Cason will play in the 7th grade game at 1:30pm and Jarel and Carter will play in the 8th grade game at 4:30pm. Way to go Bearcats! 🔴⚫️🐾🏀


On Saturday, Feb. 4th, the FBLA Chapter competed in the District Leadership Conference at Mineral Area College. We are very proud of all who competed, and Congratulations to all who received medals!
Here were the results from that competition:
Reese Gray: 3rd Place in Agribusiness, 4th Place in Organizational Leadership, and 2nd Place in Political Science
Evy Miller: 5th Place in Agribusiness
Grace Hicks: 4th Place in Human Resource Management
Sidney Hawkins: 5th Place in Journalism and 3rd Place in Personal Finance
Talyah Maize: 3rd Place in Insurance and Risk Management

PreK learned about classroom instruments! They marched and played like a band.
