8th grade students went around school today to collect fake donut orders from staff members. Teachers were given coupons to apply to their order and then students returned to the classroom to calculate totals including discounts and tax rates. Great job 8th grade!
Mrs. Chilton’s STEM class put their knowledge of tension, compression, and deflection to the test with a friendly, in class, bridge building competition. Their goal was to construct a bridge that could hold the most weight without breaking.

Today, the junior high students participated in a microscopy activity in Mrs. Chilton’s class. They were able to see details of many types of specimens, such as dog stomach and pine leaf.

ATTENTION : School Breakfast / Lunch Changes - There was some confusion as to when the free meal program expired. Unfortunately, for Lesterville, the program ended with the start of this school year. Students will be charged for breakfast and lunch starting on September 1, 2022. If you have not completed your meal application, please do so as soon as possible.

Bearcats baseball get another win, beating Summersville 11-2!
Mrs. Chilton’s STEM class put their mud bricks together to create a free-standing structure inspired by The Great Wall of China.
In this project, they learned about structural stabilization and integrity as well as teamwork and effective communication.
Boys take the win over Kingston 14-4 and move to 2-1 on the season! They will finish their postponed game at Arcadia Valley on Wednesday the 31st starting at 4:30.
